APPOINTMENT: 1 year post-doc position at the Center for the Advancement of Wearable Technologies (CAWT), University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez

ACTIVITY: Microfluidic compatible materials for skin sampling of small hydrophobic/hydrophilic analytes.

Specific goals:
a. Identification of skin compatible and non-absorbent materials for microfabrication
b. Examine toxicity and hydrophobic/hydrophilic absorption of identified materials
c. Validate a prototype for skin-like sampling

DEADLINE: POSITION OPEN UNTIL FILLED

REQUIREMENTS: Earned a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent advanced degree in engineering with experience in biomaterials, microfluidics and optical detection methods.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: experience with microfluidic fabrication methods, cellular toxicity and metabolic assays

Note: Salary $42k/year + medical insurance and marginal benefits provided. Re-location expenses not covered.
